The high-quality LUWSIR4 is a water soluble near-infrared absorbing dye with high photostability. The absorption of prints is detectable by special infrared device. Counterfeits made with colour printers or copy machines can be filtered out, there is no need for a separate verification of origin. In normal daylight conditions, LUNWSIR4 powder is dark green on paper while on the display of a NIR camera dark grey colour becomes visible.
